To celebrate the holiday season and mark 100 years of the legendary fragrance, CHANEL presents Chanel No.5 fragrance dressed in sleek biodegradable packaging that outlines the iconic silhouette of The Classic Bottle. It is sealed with a wax stamp, an allusion to baudruchage, the unique craftsmanship of CHANEL fragrances.

In 2021, in partnership with Maison Pochet, a French Living Heritage Company (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant), CHANEL has created a remarkable innovation: the first perfume bottle containing recycled glass that maintains complete shine and transparency. In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel called upon Ernest Beaux to create an intense and original "woman's perfume, a scent of woman." The nose presented her with a visionary composition that made unprecedented use of aldehydes. Mademoiselle chose the fifth sample of the fragrance and decided to simply name it number 5.

For this new fragrance, she selected a bottle with a revolutionary design, adorned with a white label and topped with a faceted cabochon. Jacques Polge, who became the CHANEL nose in 1978, reinterpreted his predecessor's composition in 1986 to create a more voluptuous version of No5, the eau de parfum.
